Portsmouth, 30th September 2016 – Sealift2 International Limited, a designer and operator of unique, eco-friendly floating dry docks, announces the successful management buyout of its marine services business at Haslar Marina in Gosport and its parent company Welcome Inn Investments NV.

Welcome Inn Investments owns the Intellectual property and patents on the fast boat lifting technology used in Sealift2 docks. This enables Sealift2 docks to provide a lift, clean and relaunch service in under an hour – like a car wash for boats. It also transforms the usual 5-7 day turnaround required for antifouling to less than 24 hours.

“The MBO will enable us to expand our operations internationally – with a new focus on licensing our fast boat lifting technology for local manufacture” says Richard Bayley, managing Director and majority shareholder.

The boat servicing operations at Haslar marina will operate under a new UK company, Sealift3 Limited, and sales of docks and licensing of IPR will be handled by Welcome Inn Investments trading as Sealift3.

All existing staff, suppliers and customers of Sealift2 International Limited will be transferred to Sealift3 Limited and Sealift2 International Limited will cease trading.

The first Sealift2 dock was launched in 2006 and operated in Cowes, Isle of Wight. Since then docks have been installed in Dubai, Gosport, Brixham and earlier this year in Cardiff. Sealift3 Limited is a privately owned company headquartered in Maidenhead, Berkshire which specialises in designing and building eco-friendly pneumatic dry docks which deliver the fastest lift times available in the industry. The Sealift3/SD model lifts yachts, motor boats and catamarans up to 65ft in length, weighing up to 50 tons in 5-10 minutes.
